From your first text upload to your finished PDF, follow these steps to create a Bible layout that suits you.
Open Bible Printing StudioUse a plain-text file saved in UTF-8 encoding. Include chapter headings and numbered verses. For example:
Luke 1
The Birth of John Is Announced
1 In the days of Herod...
2 ...
Luke 2
1 ...Chapter headings such as Luke 1, Chapter 1 and 路加福音 第1章 are recognised. Unnumbered lines are treated as section headings, so check the preview for any formatting mistakes.
Open the Studio, find 1 · Bible text, and select Upload UTF-8 TXT. Enter your preferred document title. Choose whether to show or hide section headings.
For a single Bible version, leave Printing mode set to Single translation. For bilingual or trilingual printing, choose Parallel translations / languages and upload a second TXT file and, optionally, a third. The app aligns verses by their chapter and verse numbers, so these must match across files. Missing verses appear as blank spaces.
Choose Side-by-side columns or Stacked verses. Adjust each additional translation's font, size and colour, the gap between columns, and language labels.
Choose A4, A5, B5 or US Letter, and portrait or landscape orientation. Set top, bottom, inner and outer margins in millimetres. Enable Mirror margins for duplex binding for alternating inside and outside margins on double-sided pages.
Adjust font family, font size, colour, line height, alignment and spacing between verses. Choose one verse per line or continuous paragraphs. Verse numbers have independent font, size, colour, boldness, superscript/subscript position, and spacing from the verse text.
Set separate font families, sizes, colours, weights, italic styles, alignments and spacing. Choose whether chapters continue on the same page, begin on a new page, or begin on a right-hand page for duplex binding. Right-hand page mode may insert blank pages.
The app recognises lines beginning with Footnote:, Note:, 註:, 注: or Markdown footnotes such as [^1]:. In single-translation mode, notes can appear within the text, at the bottom of the page, or at the end of the chapter. Customise note typography and spacing, or hide notes entirely.
Choose Arabic numbers, Roman numerals, numbers with dashes or no page numbers. Set the position and starting number. Optionally display the document title as a running header.
Enable the title page and add a subtitle, dedication or image. Enable the ending page and write your own message or add an image. You can control image width, maximum height, fit and placement. There is no automatic closing message.
Select Update preview after changing settings. Use First, Previous, Next and Last to navigate. To inspect a specific page, enter its number in the Page box and select Go.
Select Print / Save PDF. Your browser's print dialog opens. Choose your printer or Save as PDF. Disable browser-generated headers and footers, and enable background graphics if needed. Check paper size, orientation and print scaling before confirming.
Select Save settings to download a JSON settings file. Later, choose Load settings to restore your layout choices. Bible TXT files and uploaded images are not included in the settings file, so you must select them again.
Only use Bible translations and images you have permission to reproduce. Available fonts depend on those installed on your device. For a large Bible, test-print a few pages before printing the entire document.
